About Compare2Lists
Compare2Lists is a free collection of data tools built for people who work with lists and structured data every day. Whether you need to find the differences between two lists, convert a JSON API response into a spreadsheet, or export your Fitbit data into a format you can actually analyze, our tools are designed to get you from raw data to actionable results in seconds.
The project was created out of a simple frustration: too many everyday data tasks require either expensive software, technical scripting knowledge, or uploading sensitive data to unknown servers. We set out to build tools that are free, require no account, and process everything locally in your browser.
Our Principles
Privacy First
Every tool on Compare2Lists processes data entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to a server, never stored in a database, and never shared with third parties. When you close the tab, your data is gone. This architecture means you can safely use our tools with proprietary business data, personal health information, or any other sensitive content.
Free & Accessible
There are no paywalls, no account requirements, and no feature limits. Every tool is available to everyone, whether you are a student working on a class project, a small business owner managing inventory, or an analyst at a large organization. List Comparison
Upload or paste two lists and instantly see which items are unique to each list and which appear in both. Configure case sensitivity, whitespace handling, and delimiters to match your data. Export the categorized results as a CSV file.
File Format Converters
Convert JSON, XML, Excel (XLSX/XLS), and YAML files into clean CSV output. Our converters handle nested structures, arrays, and complex hierarchies by flattening them into tabular rows and columns suitable for spreadsheets and databases.
